Today is my first day back on the job since I was injured fighting a fire back in January. I'm 5 days short of it being 8 months. To say I had performance apprehension this morning would be an understatment. First patient was chest pain with dyspnea. It was like I never left! Assessment, full ALS workup, and even got the IV without using a tourniquet!
Now that that's out of the way, we'll see how the shoulder holds up on the next fire.
